This charity-based, independent and MLA accredited Museum is set within a beautiful walled garden which also surrounds the Elizabethan Almonry.
It is run totally by volunteers and offers a tantalizing glimpse of Battle and the surrounding community’s rich history…from dinosaurs to life in the mid-20th Century.  

Collections Amongst the Collection you are able to discover remains of dinosaurs, Neolithic Man; later the Roman Navy; The Battle of Hastings as depicted in a 200yr old engraving of the Bayeux Tapestry. Local industries include iron workers, farmers, tanners, clockmakers and gunpowder manufacturers. Meet the oldest Guy Fawkes in the world: imagine or remember the WWII.
All through many static displays of artefacts, digital photographic and document archives*. Film and slideshows.
