This beautifully restored early 19^th century fortress provides the perfect setting for the largest military museum in the south east. Collections on display include our county regiment, The Royal Sussex Regiment; the senior cavalry regiment of the British Army: The Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars and the Sussex Combined Services  charting the local area’s longstanding relationship with the military.

Free on street parking on nearby residential streets, pay-and-display parking nearby, disabled parking bays available on Royal Parade.

Eastbourne Bus Services 1,2,10 from the Town Centre stop on nearby Seaside. Silverlink Service 99 stops on Royal Parade. 25 minute walk from Eastbourne Station.

From Royal Parade: Access via slope to gun platform. Access to parade ground and museum via steps.
From Seafront promenade : Access to parade ground and museum via steps.
Access via a platform stairclimber can be arranged by prior booking (minimum 72 hours) – depending on availability of equipment.
